PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A very complex aroma that is sweet and earthy whilst at the same time appears to drift past you like a gentle, green breeze.
Our Gardenia Absolute is an amber to red-brown liquid made up of natural and synthetic materials.
The individual materials that make up Gardenia Absolute are listed on the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (CosIng) here.
It has no therapeutic skin benefits per se but it does add an amazing fragrance which can add value and desirability to high-end products like anti-aging serums, creams and lotions.
When added to shampoos and hair conditioners, it makes the product smell very appealing, with a high perceived value.
It can also be vaporised or used in an oil burner to fragrance a room. The Gardenia flower was named after the 18th Century naturalist Dr. Alexander Garden.
In the mid 1920’s Chanel managed to create a gardenia perfume that truly reflected the breeze like characteristics of the gardenia flower itself.
It was discontinued after the Second World War and then reformulated in the 1980’s for re-launch.
